Reverse Engineering
We work actively and closely with our
customers in developing products engineering 2D and 3D drawings from
existing parts or tools, that is the "reverse" of the normal
engineering process. For that purpose, we are equipped with advanced 3D
laser scanner, CMM machines and software packages including
Pro/Engineer amongst others.
Concurrent Engineering
One of the keys to obtaining high
quality is concurrent engineering, in which operations manager
& mold designers from mold maker's side and part designers from
customer's side work closely together in the initial phases of product
design to ensure that manufacturing requirements and process
capabilities are SYNCHRONIZED. The result is much better quality molds
and customers, hence, achieve substantial savings on both their product
development and mold manufacturing time & costs.
Prototype
When plastic parts are still at
initial design and/or marketing stages, we at NUIGL work close to our
customer and try to reduce his overall tools cost and lead times. One
way to do this is by quoting to our customer ONLY core/cavity
UNITS and using our own Moldbases
to inject parts using plastic resin, which the customer intends to use
later on for his mass production.
Using this system enables us to
produce many (family) parts of similar plastics using one UNIT as well
as using different plastics, which is something we have considered to
suit your budget using mechanical techniques to direct plastic flow
inside tool runners into certain cavities, which can produce hundreds
of parts enough for your evaluation and physical tests!
Modify your prototype tool rather than
your production tool to save and reduce your costs substantially before
you go into production.
