New Universe Environmental Technologies (Jiang Su) Ltd (“NUJS”) is
established in Hong Kong, which is a 82% owned subsidiary of NUIGL.
Since 2003, NUJS has invested in PRC and owned 3 wholly foreign-owned
enterprises engaging in environmental operations:
Zhenjiang New Universe Solid Waste Disposal Co. Ltd. (“Zhenjiang NU”),
Taizhou New Universe Solid Waste Disposal Co. Ltd.,
and Yancheng New Universe Solid Waste Disposal Co. Ltd.,
which provide regulated medical and industrial waste management services,
including waste collection, transportation, treatment, disposal and recycling services
to major hospital and chemical industries. Zhenjiang NU also provides industrial solid
waste landfill service, dangerous chemical tank truck cleansing service and pollution
accidents emergency support service.
The current paid-up registered
capital of the 3 environmental subsidiaries
is USD 3.75 million. They imported technology and setup their own vertical
incinerator systems and interactive pyrolyzing incinerators, which are able
to transform dangerous waste into environmentally friendly substance with annual
disposal capacities of total 9,900 tons. In 2005, with the support of the Zhenjiang
Municipal Government and related departments, Zhenjiang NU invested and established
its dangerous chemical tank truck cleansing services, and rented an old quarry with
an area of 54,000 sq. m. to develop a waste landfill with disposal capacity of 30,000 tones per annum.
The 3 environmental subsidiaries have sound cooperation relationship with almost all of the medical
institutions and various industrial enterprises locally and have entered into long-term cooperative
agreements for disposal of the regulated medical wastes for the medical institutions and general industrial
wastes generated by the industrial enterprises.

technology enterprise and providing integrated environmental services.
In May 2008, Zhenjiang NU was certified to have reached two nationally recommended standards: (i) Quality Management
Standard GB/T19001-2000 (identical to ISO9001:2000) and (ii) Environmental Management Standard GB/T24001:2004
identical to ISO14001:2004).
